The 2024 Crescent City Corporate Championship Golf Tournament: A Huge Success in Support of JA Programs!

We’re thrilled to share the highlights of this year’s Crescent City Corporate Championship Golf Tournament, hosted by Blessey Marine Services, Inc. and presented by Blessey Charities and AccuTRANS, Inc. This fantastic annual event once again brought together local businesses and supporters to make a meaningful impact in our community. One hundred percent of the tournament’s proceeds go directly to Junior Achievement, supporting our mission to teach young people about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.

This year’s tournament was once again full of exciting contests, including the Longest Drive, Closest-to-the-Pin, and Hole-in-One competitions. These event-day challenges, sponsored by Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry and Paretti Family of Dealerships added a fun competitive edge to the day, making it even more memorable for participants. (note, they only sponsored the hole-in-one events and this makes it sound like they sponsored the longest drive and closest-to-the-pin too – not sure if you want to reword it or leave it)

Closing a picture-perfect day, the tournament ended with a live auction for a complete set of Blanton’s Horse Collection made possible by JA Board Member, Brandon Smith of Flexicrew Technical Services.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Blessey Marine Services, Inc., Walter Blessey, Jr., Clark Todd, Ashley Colomb, and the entire Blessey team for their continued commitment to our mission by hosting this tournament year after year. We’re also grateful to Southwest Shipyard, LP, our Title Sponsor, for their enduring partnership, and to AccuTRANS, Inc. for their role as Presenting Sponsor. Your support is invaluable!

Since the tournament began in 2000, Blessey Charities has generously donated close to $4 million in net proceeds to JA programs. This remarkable achievement has empowered countless young people, equipping them with the financial and entrepreneurial skills needed to succeed in the real world. Your contributions are helping to build a stronger future for our economy, one student at a time.

Thank you to everyone who came out to play, sponsor, and support the tournament. Your dedication to our mission makes a lasting difference, and we couldn’t do this without you. Here’s to another fantastic year of partnership and impact! We hope you will join us in 2025 on Friday, October 24th!
