Team Member Spotlight: Suzanne Cressy Rabalais, The Heart Behind JA BizTown

When it comes to creating impactful learning experiences and fostering team camaraderie, Suzanne Cressy Rabalais stands out as a cornerstone of the Junior Achievement family. With over a decade of dedication, Suzanne currently serves as our Operations Manager, leading the dynamic and engaging JA BizTown program, where students experience a real-world, simulated city for a day. Her expertise and passion have been instrumental in bringing this vibrant educational environment to life.

Suzanne joined Junior Achievement more than ten years ago, bringing with her a rich background in both the restaurant business and real estate. This diverse experience has shaped her resourcefulness, creativity, and adaptability—skills she uses daily to ensure students leave JA BizTown with unforgettable lessons in financial literacy and workforce readiness.

When asked about her favorite part of the job, Suzanne highlights “the impact, creativity, and laughter” that fill her days. She is deeply committed to helping young people understand their finances and guiding them toward careers that suit their unique strengths and passions. Suzanne’s dedication shines brightest during Simulation days, where her leadership ensures that every student’s experience is engaging, empowering, and fun.

Suzanne’s contributions extend beyond JA BizTown into the heart of our office culture. As the driving force behind team celebrations, she brings joy and connection to Junior Achievement by organizing annual traditions like the Thanksgiving potluck and coordinating birthday lunches and bonding activities. Her thoughtful efforts create a sense of belonging that strengthens our team.

Inspiration runs deep in Suzanne’s life. She attributes her greatest influence to her mother, whose perseverance and strength continue to inspire her every day. A lover of adventure, Suzanne dreams of visiting St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. When she isn’t crafting memorable student programs or energizing team gatherings, she can be found immersed in the pages of Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow. For a taste of Suzanne’s culinary preferences, head to Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse, her top choice for exceptional dining.

We are proud to celebrate Suzanne’s incredible contributions to Junior Achievement. Her commitment to shaping future leaders and fostering a connected, joyful workplace is truly unparalleled. Thank you, Suzanne, for your unwavering dedication, creativity, and heart!
